  • Strange behaviour of superconductors
  • Cryogenic environment of superconductors
  • Compare superconducting to conventional and permanent magnets
  • Applications: magnetic separators, NMR and MRI, power lines  and fusion reactors (JET, ITER)

Speaker – Joseph Boehm

MSc in Regensburg, Bavaria followed by PhD in Salford
Working experience with a number of UK / German / US companies before joining the Rutherford Lab at Harwell.Retired in June of this year.
