Jewellery for Pets Wins College Dragon’s Den

The Henley College continues to distinguish itself as a beacon of innovation and opportunity with last week’s Dragons’ Den event, organised by dedicated Personal and Professional Development (PPD) tutors. Students had the opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial flair, pitching their innovative ideas to a panel of esteemed judges, all prominent entrepreneurs from the Henley area from Rebellion Brewery, Henley Playing Cards, The Henley School of Art, ManyPets Insurance, and South Oxfordshire Council.

Ten eager groups took the stage, each with a vision to improve society in their own way. With just ten minutes to present their concepts, students captivated the audience and judges alike with their ingenuity and passion. The breadth of ideas pitched underscored the diversity and creativity flourishing within the college’s student body.

Following the students’ pitches, the panel of local entrepreneurs selected a winning group. After careful deliberation, the winning group (pictured above) emerged: Pawsitively Cute, whose innovative coordinating jewellery for pets and their owners captured the judges’ hearts and minds. Their victory was celebrated with well-deserved Amazon vouchers, a testament to their hard work and creativity.

At The Henley College, students are exposed to a wide range of inspiring guest speakers. The college hopes to continue building these strong links with Henley’s community to allow students to flourish.
