Fundraising Concert for St Mary’s Church

St Mary’s Church will be hosting a fundraising concert for the church on Friday 3 May with a wide variety of musical talent from the Henley area, including folk guitar, rock music, opera, and songs from the shows.

The stars of the evening will be local musicians, father and son duo, Ben and Harry Portsmouth. Both have a passion for music and, when Ben is not performing ‘Elvis’ to worldwide audiences, he’s enjoying playing great music pre the mid-nineties alongside Harry, who’s a young and talented upcoming singer and musician in his own right. It will be a rare and wonderful opportunity to see them performing together!

Professional singer and actress Valeriia Mocharska-Liulchyk will be singing several songs from her native Ukraine, while Jeremy Tayler, the rector of St Mary’s will be donning secular garb as he entertains the audience with his guitar! Music director Sebastian Thomson will be displaying his talents on both piano and organ, and there’s even a magician to bemuse the crowd during the interval, when a cash bar will be available.

Tickets are available on the door at £5 each (£3 for children) and the show begins at 7.30pm.
