Romance, Comedy and Tragedy all in Little Shop of Horrors Musical

Fans of the 1986 musical movie Little Shop of Horrors starring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin are in luck – the musical theatre show upon which it was based is coming to The Kenton courtesy of Woodley Light Operatic Society from 12-15 June!

The cast and production team have been hard at work since January developing this latest incarnation of the much loved show ready for an audience in June.

Seymour Krelborn is a meek and dejected assistant at a floral shop, who happens upon a strange plant – which he affectionately names “Audrey II” after his crush at the shop. Little does he know that this strange and unusual plant will develop a soulful R&B voice, a potty mouth, and an unquenchable thirst for…human blood. As Audrey II grows bigger and meaner, the carnivorous plant promises limitless fame and fortune to Seymour – as long as he continues providing a fresh supply of blood. Will Seymour discover Audrey II’s extra-terrestrial origins and his true drive for world-domination, before it’s too late?

You’ll have to watch the show to find out…

The show includes romance and comedy alongside tragedy, as well as great musical numbers such as the famous ‘Somewhere that’s Green’, ‘Suddenly Seymour’ and the darkly comic ‘Dentist’.

Tickets are: Adults £20.00, Senior citizens and students £19.00, Under 16s £15.00 and on Wednesday 12 June group special of 3 for £54.00.

Tickets can be booked from the WLOS Box Office on 0333 666 3366 or via http://www.wlos.co.uk.
