Exiles lose to Yateley
It was a disastrous start to the match for Henley Exiles when they conceded the opening goal within just 2 minutes of the game to Yateley United ‘B’.
However, they managed to steady the ship in the first half and remain competitive. Only trailing 2-0 at the break.
Exiles came out in the second half determined to be more aggressive and get back into the game, which is exactly what they did when Connor Gough scored a great goal direct from a free kick.
With the next goal being the crucial one in the match, Henley started to lose their defensive discipline chasing the game. Resulting in giving away a penalty that was heroically saved by Aaron Bishop keeping them in the match.
Unfortunately, the jubilation was short lived as the Exiles went on to lose their goal scorer Connor Gough to a silly red card. Then they ended up being thrashed 6-1 on the day.
