Amorino Gelato to open at end of March

Amorino gelato shop is set to open at the former David Rodger Sharp jewellers at the end of March.

Amorino will bring little slice of Italy serving handcrafted gelato, indulgent desserts, and expertly brewed Lavazza coffee.

The boutique is owned and operated by local residents Kim and Peter Sandstrom, award-winning franchise partners behind successful Amorino locations in Marlow and Windsor. Following strong demand from customers across the region, the couple are delighted to bring the brand closer to home.

“We’ve been patiently searching for the perfect location for several years,” said Peter Sandstrom. “Opening on Market Square is a real privilege, and we can’t wait to welcome the Henley community and visitors alike.”

Open daily from 11:00am to 10:00pm, the new boutique will offer as many as 20 flavours of premium gelato and sorbet, all crafted using high-quality ingredients and traditional Italian techniques. Seasonal flavours will be introduced throughout the year, giving customers something new to discover.

Alongside Amorino’s signature flower-shaped gelato cones, guests can enjoy freshly made Brussels waffles, warm crêpes, indulgent gelato macarons, classic French macarons, and rich Lavazza coffee — perfect for a leisurely treat or takeaway indulgence.

With cosy indoor seating and outdoor tables overlooking Market Square, the boutique offers an ideal spot to relax. The opening will also create 6–10 local jobs, including opportunities for school-aged young people within the community.

Kim and Peter are passionate about quality, customer experience, and supporting the local hospitality scene. Bringing Amorino to the Henley community marks an exciting new chapter for both the brand and the town.
