May Fair Plans Gearing Up for Great Day

MayFair-5IBS Office Solutions sponsor community event again this year

This year’s May Fair on Bank Holiday Monday 5 May 2014, is gearing up to be a great day. Held at Mill Meadows,  it will open at 12 noon with live music from Mythical Men, entertainment and activities all afternoon to 5pm.

There will be a children’s fancy dress and baking competition. Ferret Racing is returning for another year by popular demand and they hope to have the Duck Derby taking place, but this is yet to be confirmed. There will also be Morris Dancers performing their traditional display.

This year’s main sponsor will again be IBS Office Solutions.  Owner Caleb Southwell said, “We are keen to support these events as it’s all about giving something back to the community and they are very much for the local people of Henley.

Henley Round Table are very grateful to Caleb and IBS Office Solutions for sponsoring the the May Fair again.  Chairman Rob Tatman said, “Their support enables us to put on a fantastic day for the people of Henley by paying for entertainment and event costs such as St Johns Ambulance cover.”

The Round Table are looking for local charities, organisations or businesses to have a stall and partake in what will hopefully be a fantastic community event. If you are interested in having a stall please contact Nicholas Woodthorpe on 07967 733569 and he will send you further information and an application form.

Henley Round Table is always open to new members. We are a voluntary group for men aged 18 to 45 with the aims of meeting socially and raising money for local causes through the annual events of Fireworks and the Christmas Float. In the past 3 years, the Round Table has donated over £20,000 to local charities including the Chiltern Centre and Bishopswood School. Let’s hope the sun shines on the fair again this year after all the rain we’ve had.
