Men of Henley – Come and Sing with Henley Choral Society
After a sensational performance of Bach St John Passion on Saturday night at St Mary’s to a packed audience and with an amazing line up of professional musical talent, Henley Choral Society starts rehearsals for the next concert on Mondays at 7.30pm at d:two, Marketplace, Henley.
If you are a tenor or bass you are warmly invited to join us! There are NO auditions. We are a very friendly and sociable bunch of around 100 singers who aspire to sing to the best of our ability under our exceptional young conductor Benjamin Goodson. We sing a mix of the classical choral repertoire and more contemporary pieces. We will start rehearsing for the Summer concert – a mix of Brahms, Tippet and Shearing – a wonderfully diverse collection of songs and lieder. An ability to read music is useful but not at all essential. Many of our members sang in choirs at school or further education and love coming back to the thrill of singing as part of a big chorus.
