Recently relocated from having spent 18 years in Dubai and Beirut, British Artist Cerise Washington has now made Henley on Thames her new home.
Working as an Equestrian, Wildlife and Portrait Artist she will be showcasing her paintings at The International Oxford Art Fair between 24-26 February at the historic Oxford Town Hall.
Cerise can combine her love of oil painting with her other passion, horses, as growing up in a rural village in Lancashire, enabled Cerise to live close with nature and ride horses in their natural surroundings.
Cerise said, “After having spent many years in the advertising industry as a Graphic Designer/Art Director in the UK and Dubai, I’m finally pursuing my dream career as an Equine, Wildlife and Portrait Artist. However, my favourite subjects are polo and racing horses in action. My next stop will be Cheltenham Ladies Day, so I will be making sure I take lots of photographs of the event, society and horses.
Cerise’s previous exhibition was at The Dubai International Horse Fair exhibiting along other Equine Artists from all over the world. Photographs of the prestigious event can be found on her website www.cerisewashington.wix.com/artist . She has recently visited Sri Lanka and soon to be working on a series of elephant portraits from her photographs, capturing the pure strength and beauty of these soon to be endangered animals.
