Following the tremendous success of the Henley Rugby Club Player Outreach Programme (PROP) a fun morning of tag rugby was held in February Half Term in partnership with coaching providers, The Performance Sports Group.
Children aged 5 to 8 years of age enjoyed a morning of small sided games and skills development at Henley Rugby Club on their superb tiger turf all weather surface. Chris Ellison from Performance Sports said, “It was great to have 35 children having a fantastic time in glorious sunshine at the club.”
Dax Aiken, Henley RFC, Junior Chairman said, “As Henley Hawks Minis & Juniors, in partnership with Performance Sports, continue to develop our outreach plan to bring rugby to all it is amazing to see so many players attend the half term camps at the club. Open to children of any level and ability these sessions can act as a great introduction to the game as well as helping those already familiar with the sport to continue to develop and grow. With the all weather pitches and the new clubhouse providing an excellent environment we look forward to hosting many more of these sessions over the coming months and years.”
Plans are in place to repeat the event in the Easter Holidays on 6 April and 13 April. For further details please contact Henley Rugby Club Junior Chairman, Dax Aiken on firstname.lastname@example.org or The Performance Sports Group on email@example.com
