Henley Bowling Club Celebrating 90th Anniversary
Henley Bowling Club who are based at the Leichlingen Pavilion on Mill Meadows are celebrating their 90th year in 2018.
On Sunday 20 May they are hosting a free Open Day for anyone wishing to have a go at bowling between 11.oo-3.00pm. All equipment is provided. Players are asked to wear or bring flat shoes. No experience necessary as free tuition will be given by members. There is fee car parking at the side of the club and light refreshments will also be available.
The club formed in 1928, will be celebrating their 90th birthday with a special event on Saturday 16 June between 10am to 4pm. Members will be dressing up in clothes from that day and it is hope that the new Mayor will able to come and bring a team to play. The public are invited to come along and watch and the cheer the players on.
Nigel Bridges from the club said, “The Open Day will be a fun day for all and we’d give a warm welcome anyone who would like to come to give it a try. Back in 1928 we didn’t have a smart clubhouse as we do now but we’re looking forward to celebrating with a beer or two just like I’m sure they did back then.”

Wow Members dressing up in clothes, do they normally bowl in the nude?
