Beloved Classic Ballet Swan Lake Coming to Kenton

Continuing its commitment to UK touring and presenting world-class ballet to the widest possible audience, Ballet Theatre UK marks its annual engagement with one of the most beloved full-length classical ballets, Swan Lake which is coming to the Kenton Theatre on 7 April 2019

Set to Tchaikovsky’s glorious score with choreography by Christopher Moore, this romantic fable is one of ill-fated passion, dreamlike transformation, and ultimately, forgiveness.

Christopher Moore’s stunning re-telling of this classic tale returns for the first time since its premier celebrating their 10th new production in 2014. Featuring their company of international talented dancers as well as stunning stage sets and brand new lavish costumes, Ballet Theatre UK’s recreation of this iconic masterpiece promises to be the highlight of this season.

Swan Lake portrays the tale of the beautiful Princess Odette, bewitched by the wicked sorcerer von Rothbart, who captures Odette and turns her into a swan. Returning to her human form at night, Von Rothbart’s spell can only be broken when a young man pledges his love for Odette and marries her. Should he betray her, she would remain a swan forever. Principal casting of Odette, Odile, Rothbart and Prince Siegfried includes the return of company favourites and two role debuts.

Ballet Theatre UK aims to bring the most magical and captivating moments of classical ballet to audiences of all ages, delighting them with a passion and energy that is truly inspiring. The nature of their productions helps to make ballet accessible and affordable to all. This beautiful production is not only for those already fans of dance, but also for those experiencing dance for the first time.
