Trinity Parents Enjoy a Scottish Ceilidh Fundraising Party

A Scottish Ceilidh (pronouced kay-lee) a gaelic word meaning gathering or party was a new fundraising event for Trinity Primary School on Friday night at the Town Hall.

Entertained by Craigievar Ceilidh Band from Woodley, parents and friends joined together to do some traditional Scottish dancing with some wearing kilts and tartan. About 60 people attended and the event raised £1400 for the school which will go towards various projects lined up for this year.

Jane Hendry and Louise Jones came up with the idea and organised the event. Louise said, “Everybody was up dancing, even those who said they wouldn’t be!  The live band were brilliant and helped the evening run smoothly.  We raised a fantastic amount for the school which we are delighted about.  Thank you to everyone who helped make the event happen, the local businesses who donated raffle prizes and to all the people attended and made the event the success it was.”
