Frost Borneo Opticians on Hart Street are delighted to announce that they have been selected as a finalist at the 2019 Opticians Awards in the category ‘Independent Practice of the Year’.
This national competition is open to all independent opticians across the country and hundreds of entries are received each year. The award is extremely prestigious, and it is a tremendous achievement for a small Henley business to have been nominated as a finalist.
Frost Borneo were selected following a thorough judging process and debate by an adjudicating panel, having submitted a 1000-word entry with supporting material.
When selecting the winner of the category ‘Independent Practice of the Year’ the panel of judges will be looking for a practice that offers an outstanding customer experience, clinical excellence and extensive product choice and knowledge. Each entry is also judged on the personality the business has created within its local area, its links with other businesses and its profile within the community. The judges will also be looking for evidence of customer service that goes ‘above and beyond’, individualised eyecare and an offering that sets the practice apart from its competitors. They will expect to see positive feedback from patients and a diversity of optical products and services offered.
Winning an Optician Award is the pinnacle of many optical careers, therefore after years of building Frost Borneo Opticians into the successful practice it is today, owners Neil Frost and Catalina Borneo are hugely proud of being selected as a finalist and are hoping to go on to win this amazing accolade.
“We are all thrilled and excited to be attending this prestigious event and are looking forward to a great evening with the possibility of bringing back a winning trophy!” said Catalina Borneo.
“Catalina and I have worked very hard alongside our dedicated team to get to the point where we were able to meet all the criteria necessary to be able to enter the practice for this prestigious award. We are very proud to be a finalist in the category Independent Practice of the Year and it is no more than our fabulous team deserve”, added Neil Frost.
Neil, Catalina and their team will be attending the black-tie awards ceremony which is being held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Saturday 30th March 2019. The winners of the categories will be announced and presented with a stunning art deco trophy during a glittering evening of entertainment and fun. Frost Borneo are hoping to be crowned ‘winners’ in their category and bring back one of those prestigious trophies to the practice in Henley-on-Thames.
