A rebranding launch party took place at Acacia Lodge Care Home in Quebec Road this week to celebrate the exciting changes happening within their home and organisation.
The party theme on Tuesday afternoon was ‘a touch of swing,’ as many of the residents enjoy swing music. Ashley Stone performed swing songs for the residents and children from St Mary’s in Henley also attended as they were invited to make posters of how they perceive care in the future to be. All the residents and guests were given a Future Care goodie bag including sweets and a pen.
Acacia Lodge Care Home was purchased in 2013 by a family business, operating under Henley Care Management. The family then went on to acquire St Cloud Care in 2014 and LRH in 2017, before deciding to consolidate all three companies. They now have a total of 19 homes, providing care for over 1,100 residents.
Wendy Fricker, Activities Coordinator at Acacia Lodge, said “We have 53 residents currently divided over 3 floors, one floor for dementia, one for residential and the other for nursing. I have been here for 6 years. The care homes new logo is ‘Future Care’ with the new slogan ‘Your Future Matters.’ Our new colour scheme is purple, white and green which you can see reflected in the balloons and cakes here today.”
Acacia Lodge will remain known by its current name and will continue to trade under Henley Care Management, but is now part of The Future Care Group brand.
The two winners of the poster competition were Millie Scott (7) and Cassius Cartland (7) (pictured above) who got the prize of unveiling and cutting the cake at the relaunch party. Cassius said, “We are all winners, but we were the ones who were slightly more of a winner than the others. We got to cut the cake today.”
