Soner Sahbaz has opened the Golden Needle, a tailoring alterations service in the old Autolex shop on Friday Street yesterday (Monday).
Soner has been a tailor for 35 years and previously worked for Stitch in Time in Reading and prior to that has worked for top Greek fashion designer, Mary Katrantzou for 6 years.
As well as a same day alteration service, Soner will be offering made to measure curtains, professional leather repairs and cushion covers.
Soner who lives in London said, “I decided to open the shop in Henley as two or three times I was diverted by my satnav to come through Henley on my way home and I noticed that there wasn’t a tailoring service here. I’ve had a good response since I opened the doors yesterday. Everyone who has come is very happy to see me.”
Prices start at £10 to shorten a pair of trousers or to shorten a hem on a dress/skirt and a 1 hour service is available at no extra cost. The shop will be open Monday to Saturday 9.00am to 6.30pm.
Pop in to see Soner or call him on 07475 130033. We wish him every success with his new Henley business.
