The Henley Santa Fun Run is back this Sunday (8 December) and everyone is invited to take part in this fun event which is 2 miles long.
The event is great fun for all the family – you can walk, jog or run it, push a pram or walk it with a dog. The route is all off-road and starts and finishes at the River & Rowing Museum and takes in the Invesco perimeter. The event starting at 10am is being organised by Councillors Sarah Miller and Laurence Plant and Henley’s Mrs Christmas, Pam Phillips.
Participants are encouraged to arrive a little earlier for a warm up exercise and to register. You can also register online at https://santaontherun.co.uk/ The cost to enter is £5 per adult or £15 for a family of four ticket. Santa hats will be provided. There will also be hot soup provided by and mince pies at the end of the run provided by sponsor, Eat! Food Festival.
All proceeds will be going to the Mayor’s charities, Mencap, Nomad Youth Community Project and Henley Music School.
Sarah said, “It’s a lovely festive event for everyone and there’ll be prizes for fastest runner under 14, Best Dressed Family, Best Dressed Adult, Best Dressed Under 10 and Best Dressed Team.”
