After postponing the Eat! Food Festival from June to 1-22 August, organiser Philippa Ratcliffe has taken the decision to cancel this year’s event altogether.
She said, “It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that due to the uncertainty of the longevity of the Coronavirus COVID-19 situation, the health, safety and welfare of all those involved and taking part in the festival as well as wider public health for our festival events in the current uncertain times we have decided to cancel the postponed Eat Food Festival due to take place 1st -22nd August 2020.
After postponing we really wanted to be able to provide a bit of a light at the end of the tunnel supporting businesses in Henley, all the traders and restaurants and of course something for residents and visitors to enjoy. Unfortunately with the on going restrictions and Government guidelines surrounding events, safe distancing and various protocols and procedures it means that this will not be possible.”
“I will continue with championing all the wonderful hospitality venues, pubs, restaurants, producers and traders in Henley and the surrounding areas with hopefully some small scale events later in the year collaborating with Experience Henley.”
