New Deli at Relais Henley Opens

A tempting selection of pastries, cakes, paninis, quiches and salads along with teas and coffees are now available from the new Deli at the Relais Henley.  All of the pastries and cakes have been lovingly baked by the in-house hotel chefs.

The Deli also offers an exclusive range of teas, biscuits and chocolates from The East India Company, the only stockist of these outside of London.  The East India Company has spent centuries travelling the world in search of the very best teas.  The range includes their signature collection of fine teas and herbal infusions in both loose leaf and tea bag sachets.  The products are beautifully packaged and owner Grace Leo has sampled all of the range.  She said, “I discovered the flagship store while strolling on Conduit Street in Mayfair, the quality and flavours of all their products are the best I have tasted in London. I must admit that I found the history of that era rather fascinating – the teas being shipped over to England in Clipper boats, and the cultural exchanges between the Far East and Britain inspired the way I viewed the décor and feel about the Relais Henley.”

The old dark bar at the front of the hotel has been transformed into a light and airy Deli and shop with beautiful wallpaper which gives you the feel that you’ve stepped right into a mini boutique version of Fortnum and Mason or Harrods food hall.

Prices start from £2.50 for an Espresso, the paninis, quiche and salads are from £4.50. You can take away or enjoy your food and drink on the front terrace or in the Quarterdeck bar.

The deli is open daily between 8.00am-4.00pm.
