Despite the Henley Mermaids not being able to have a second attempt at swimming the Bristol Channel this year after two crossings were called off due to the weather/tides, the ladies are organising an online auction on Thursday (28 October) at 7pm as part of their fundraising for brain conditions.
You can visit https://www.henleymermaids.com/auction to view the auction items which include some amazing lots including a rowing lesson with Sarah Winckless MBE, 2 rugby tickets to see England Vs Wales in six nations in February 2022 and a signed t-shirt by Sir Steve Redgrave and Sir Matthew Pinsent. You then register to book your place at the Auction and you will receive a link to the Zoom Auction. NB. You must register here if you want to attend.
If you cannot attend the auction but would like to place an advance bid for any item(s) or if you have any questions please email us on email@example.com.
The Mermaids are raising money for Sunrise for Brain Conditions which is a not for profit organisation which provides a platform for events and fundraising for four charities in Ireland which supports Parkinson’s, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Huntington’s Disease. The team have also partnered with four sister charities in the UK that support these brain conditions – The Huntington’s Disease Youth Organisation, Cure Parkinson’s, The MND Association and The MS International Federation.
