The winners of the AA Caravan and Camping Awards were announced in a virtual ceremony this week, celebrating the very best camping locations in the UK. Swiss Farm Touring & Camping on the Marlow Road took home Regional Campsite of the Year – South East England, with AA inspectors praising its “excellent location…perfect for those visiting the Henley Regatta”.
Returning for the first time since 2019, the Caravan and Camping Awards celebrate those camping and caravan sites offering guests the most comfortable and welcoming stays in the UK. This year’s Campsite of the Year for England, and Overall Winner, was revealed as South Lytchett Manor Caravan & Camping Park, Poole, Dorset, while Brighouse Bay Holiday Park, Brighouse Bay, Dumfries & Galloway took the prize for Scotland and Pencelli Castle Caravan & Camping Park, Brecon, Powys won the award for Wales.
Joseph Borlase, Owner of Swiss Farm said, “We were over the moon to learn that we had won this award, especially after the challenges of the past 18 months. It has been hugely reassuring to know that even with the constraints of a global pandemic, two business closures and piles of new legislation, we can still carry on improving and providing an excellent service. AA inspectors see hundreds of similar businesses each year, so it’s very encouraging when they single you out. Our fantastic team work tirelessly to provide the very high standards our guests have come to expect. There is no way we could function, let alone win awards, without their unwavering commitment.”
