Third Industry Award for Stonehouse

Stonehouse, a family business has been recognised for its work with an industry award, Contractor of the Year by national trade body, the Property Care Association (PCA).

The company is based at Centenary Business Park on Station Road and covers London and the South East of England with a team of 16.

Stonehouse was announced the winner of the Structural Waterproofing category for larger businesses by the PCA, following previous industry awards from the Association in 2015 and 2013.

Managing Director at Stonehouse, Graham Stone, said: “We are immensely proud to have won the award in the most challenging of times. We might have to delay our celebrations, but this award means so much to all at Stonehouse who have worked hard to maintain our highest quality and standards.

“As structural waterproofing specialists we are central to the creation of dry basements from design stage to installation and guarantee.

“We are a family business built around fairness, quality and respect. We design at the cutting edge of available technologies within the most robust, cost-effective and environmentally friendly parameters.

“Most of our work is south of Birmingham, with 75% of projects in London, but our reputation takes us wherever our expertise is needed and Stonehouse vans have been seen as far afield as Wales, Ireland, France, Gibraltar and Italy.

“We thrive on technical challenges and the team includes staff who have been with us since the company formed in 2000 through to young apprentices who are undertaking the PCA apprenticeship scheme.”

Every autumn the PCA presents ‘Contractor of the Year’ awards to members based on their annual audit.

Steve Hodgson, Chief Executive of the PCA, said: “The talent and skills within our industry are hugely important to the economy, to the construction of vital infrastructure and to home-owners across the UK.

“I’d like to personally congratulate the team at Stonehouse for the professionalism and quality service that is recognised with this award.”
