Henley Car Club Celebrates Milestone

The Henley Car Club, operated by Co-wheels is celebrating  its 50th member and is preparing to expand its fleet.

Dave McEwen, from Greener Henley, who has pioneered the Car Club initiative said, “This is a real milestone for us – reaching  50 members in just under 8 months is a great achievement. We are thrilled!

“This is just the beginning. We know that there are many more residents and businesses who could reap the benefits of Pay as You Go Motoring. Getting rid of a car that is only used occasionally saves money and makes a big dent in everyone’s carbon footprint. It is win-win!

“We’re already in discussions about a 3rd Car Club car, which will be fully electric.”

The first 2 cars, Toyota Yaris Hybrids are situated at 58 Market Place behind the Town Hall and on the Reading Road outside Gibbs and Dandy. Users just pay for the time that they use the car. Rates are £5.50 per hour, £38.50 per day, plus 18p per mile. You don’t pay for insurance, maintenance, fuel, MOT, tax etc

Until the end of April, you can join for just £1 and receive £25 driving credit.  Use the promo code HENLEY25 when you sign up at https://www.co-wheels.org.uk/HENLEY
