Town Centre Manager Resigns After Less Than 6 Months
Henley’s Town Centre Manager, Craig Buckby has resigned from Henley Town Council after less than six months in the job.
He took over from Helen Barnett in November 2021 who was in the role for nearly 5 years. Before taking the role Craig served as CEO of Slough Town Centre Business Improvement District.
The Herald’s Editor was due to meet Craig this week finally to discuss his idea for a big observation wheel to be installed on Mill Meadows and other plans he had for promoting the town. Our Editor questioned the Council last week why a proposal/report on the big wheel had not been presented at any Council meetings but this week is referenced in a report on the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee events.
Many of the town’s retailers were still waiting to meet Craig and for him to organise a retailers’ meeting.
Town Clerk, Sheridan Jacklin-Edwards said, “Craig is no longer working with us. We wish him well in the future and we’ll be recruiting for his replacement shortly.”
