Kenton Announces Record Breaking Sales for Panto!
The Kenton Theatre is delighted to announce record-breaking ticket sales for this year’s pantomime, Aladdin.
Although there are still 208 days until Christmas (as of right now, 30/5/22), ticket sales for this year’s Kenton Theatre have so far broken all records. Earlier this year it was announced that the Kenton are delighted to be once again working with award-winning producers, Immersion Theatre, to present Aladdin for the festive period in 2022.
In response to recent news and increasing bills the Kenton has recently announced a Pay What You Want scheme for selected shows in the current season to ensure that theatre remains accessible to all.
Despite the challenges we all face, ticket sales for Aladdin at this point of the year exceed those of any pantomime ever held at the Kenton Theatre.
Simon Spearing, Theatre Manager said, ‘It’s great that our audiences are looking ahead to a brilliant Pantomime season this year and joining with us in welcoming Immersion Theatre back to Henley. We feel that a trip to the theatre is something that should be accessible to everybody, and like going for a meal, to the cinema, or for a few drinks with friends is one of the things we can enjoy to really improve our lives, especially now. Pantomime is such an important Christmas tradition for many families, and we are delighted that so many people are already planning to allow the Kenton Theatre to be a part of their festive season.’
James Tobias, Director of Immersion Theatre said, ‘Sales for Aladdin are really strong, and it’s so exciting for us to be coming back to the Kenton after our critically-acclaimed 2018 production of Dick Whittington. We had an absolute riot as did our audiences and can’t wait to come back with what is easily going to be our most spectacular offering yet. Henley, we’ve missed you – get ready for a very special Christmas and book your tickets before they are gone!’
