Drifters Coffeehouse Sadly Closing Their Doors on Friday

It’s a great shame that we report this morning that one of our great independent coffee shops, Drifters Coffeehouse on Duke Street are closing their doors on Friday.
Talia and Millie won the hearts of our voters to name them our Customer Service Champion award winners last year.  They opened the cafe in February 2018 and locals loved the intimate and quirky space, the delicious cakes and amazing milkshakes.  Talia and Millie championed caring for the environment and over the last couple of years only sold their coffee in china mugs which they asked people to return.
They had recently offered their cafe to be used for Comedy Nights and a new Ramen pop-up, Pig and Eels.
On Facebook this morning, they posted:
That’s all folks…
The time has come to end this chapter earlier than expected. With ever increasing bills and the over saturation in our industry, we will be opening our doors for the final time this Friday 30th September
It’s with a very, heavy heart that we know we must go our own way..
Thank you Henley, T’s childhood dream was fulfilled here and you’ve been so good to us 🤍
Pop in today and tomorrow for your chance to sip a cup of the best #coffee in Henley ☕️ And come along to @pigandeel ‘s last couple of #ramen nights and grab a beer 🍻
As for the next chapter? That will begin when we’re ready.. So watch this space. Love, T + Mills
