Crew Clothing opened the doors to their new Market Place location last Thursday (6 October). The brand, which is partnered with Henley Royal Regatta, celebrated the move from their previous Bell St premises by offering discounts, free gifts with purchases, and a treasure hunt throughout the store.
Henley Mayor Michelle Thomas officially opened the doors to the new store with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday morning. After declaring the shop open (whilst wearing a Crew Clothing cardigan), Michelle said, “I think it’s absolutely fabulous. It looks really shiny and new, doesn’t it? It’s much bigger so they will be able to get a lot more stock in, and of course Market Place is arguably more prominent than some of the other streets. I think it’s really great that they found a good home in Henley because they’re partnering with Henley Royal Regatta. I believe that partnership started last year, so onwards and upwards for the partnership because this is practically the home for Crew Clothing, don’t you think?”
Crew Clothing has had a retail space in Henley since 2007. Though the store’s location has moved, local Crew Clothing shoppers will be pleased to see many familiar faces in the new premises, as all the staff remain the same.
The brand’s recent partnership with Henley Royal Regatta was its first foray into the occasionwear space; so far, two formal collections have been released under the Henley Royal Regatta license. Brand director, Georgina Clark commented, “We’re extremely proud to be opening a brand-new space in Henley, and look forward to welcoming our customers very soon. The new store will include a hand-picked edit of our top styles, the Henley Royal Regatta collection and of course, the classics our customers know and love. We have a special connection to the town of Henley and its high street community – and are continually proud of our official partnership of the Royal Regatta.”
The new Crew Clothing shop is located at 9 Market Place, and is open Mon-Fri 9:30am-5:30pm, Sat 9am-5:30pm, and Sun 11:00pm-5pm.
