The Henley Society Talk – Life in Henley in the 30s and 40s

Life-long Henley resident Peter Hancock, who you may recall as the founder, together with his step-brother Don Hookins, of the General Decorating Supplies (GDS)  a business which ran in Henley for many years, will show his films of Henley on VE/VJ Days and also of the first Royal Regatta after World War II. He will talk of those days and of some of the characters and businesses of the town from that era.

The talk and films will last about one hour, with questions, and members and guests attending are invited to take wine with the Executive Committee afterwards.
