Friends and associates of Henley Rugby Club enjoyed a Christmas party at Dry Leas last Friday evening and helped raise close to £6,000 for the club.
Guests enjoyed a four course dinner with wine and port and were entertained afterwards by Nora Mac & Co
The money was raised through a raffle and auction prizes which included a two night stay at The Relais in Bexhill-on-Sea and a flight in a spitfire.
Alistair Beynon, Commercial Manager at HRFC said, “It was a fantastic evening and a great way to get into the festive spirit. A big thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event, it’s greatly appreciated by everyone at the club. We have some great events planned for 2023, so look out for further information very soon.”
Estate agent, Philip Booth was one of the guests. He said, “It was Laurence Morris from Laurence Menswear on Duke Street who asked if we would be interested in buying a table to support Henley RFC. I have attended many matches and functions at the rugby club over the years and I have always been happy to support the club when the opportunity arises.”
As a small local business, our Christmas dos are relatively low key affairs and to be able to join in with other local businesses and members of the rugby club, it made for the perfect Christmas party.
I have to say the food and service was exceptional (as always) and the band got everyone on the dancefloor later in the evening. It looked like there was lots of fun being had, and I hope the rugby club has raised lots of money in the process.”
