Salary: £39,493 to £47,573 pro rata (SCP 33-41) + generous pension

The Council has a revenue budget of c.£1.8m, as well as cash investments of c.£4m and other assets totalling c.£15m.
This is an exciting opportunity for a community-focussed and experienced accountant/finance manager to join our team, to provide comprehensive and transparent
financial information to councillors and the community; help us achieve best value for money; oversee the management of the Council’s investments; and ensure the
efficient running of our financial processes.
The Accountant/Finance Manager is responsible for the management of the Council’s financial affairs, ensuring that the Council’s processes conform with statutory requirements, and improving them to meet best practice and improve efficiency. The Accountant is responsible for providing sound professional advice on accounting practices to the Responsible Finance Officer.
The successful candidate will also manage, and be assisted by, the Accounts Assistant.
