School Children Have Fun For Comic Relief
Children at Rupert House and St Mary’s had fun for Comic Relief at school last Friday.
At Rupert House pupils all wore red accessories in exchange for a donation to the charity. The school council pupils gave a morning assembly about the charity to the whole school and they tasked the teachers with doing the Green Green Grass Tik Tok challenge which was a great success! The school raised a total of £235.
At St Mary’s pupils dressed up as Superheroes or in red and raised £200. Rob Harmer, Headmaster said, “As a school, we enjoy taking part in a wide variety of fundraising activities. On Red Nose Day, our pupils enjoyed the opportunity to dress up and have fun, with some wonderfully enthusiastic superheroes spotted in the playground! I am very proud that in our recent ISI inspection, the team highlighted that our children are ‘proactive in contributing to the lives of others’ and we are pleased to be supporting a number of charities this year.”
