Greys Road Closed Until End of March

The Greys Road collapsed sewer which has seen the road being closed since 20 February will be closed until the end of March now despite the work originally being scheduled for two weeks.

A week ago the hole looked like it had been filled in ready for the road to be tarmacked but this week the hole had been dug out again.

A spokesperson for Thames Water said, “We’ve requested the permit for the works to be extended till the end of the month. This is due to our engineers needing to carry out further repair work on the sewer.”
