Great School Run Back This Saturday
The Great School Run’ is back this Saturday (30 April) at Stonor Park.
Hosted by Education Henley, it is an organised cross-country event for children aged 3 to 16 (and their parents) from across Henley-on-Thames and the surrounding areas. Each year group will run an appropriate distance for their age and there will be certificates for all finishers as well as medals for the top 3 finishers in each category. There will also be a course for parents. Nick Armitage, Headteacher at Ruper House School said “It promises to be a fun, family event for all ages that we put together with the vision of inspiring our children to be active and come together as a community.”
This year there will aalso be a prize for the school with the most entrants based on the size of each school.
Refreshments will be available on the day and all participants are eligible to book discounted entry to the exciting Tumblestone Hollow adventure playground for after the event.
Booking is now open. Please book in advance so that the organisers can plan the event effectively, however, it is possible to simply arrive and register on the day. The event website is: The Great School Run of Henley – Home
The Great School Run is free to enter, however they are encouraging a suggested donation of £2 per race for Sue Ryder, a charity close to the hearts of so many.
