Poetry Competition to Celebrate the Joy of Nature

Greener Henley is hosting a Poetry Competition to celebrate Great Big Green Week (10-18 June).

The competition is open to all ages from children to adults.

They are looking for poems about what lifts your heart in nature, or what you would miss or mourn if it disappeared or became extinct because of climate change or environmental pollution.  It can be any format with a maximum of 19 lines.

The will be prizes in each category – children under 12 years, teens (12 -18 years) and adults over 18 years. Prizes will be £25 Book Tokens and there will be a poetry reading at the Henley Library on Tuesday 13 June between 5.30pm -7.30pm.

Entries will be displayed at the Great Big Green Fair on Saturday 10 June in Henley Town Hall and at the Henley Library.
