The Green Room: A Creative Work Space and Event Venue Opening in June

8RAY Group has taken over the former Watercolour Play Café on Market Place and will be opening The Green Room in early June.

The Green Room will be a co-working cafe, creative space and event venue with flexible spaces for hybrid working, creating and networking.  8RAY want to create a vibe for ‘creatives’ to hang out, connect and inspire each other.

As you enter, you’re welcomed into beautifully designed space with a luxury feel lounge area and high back booths with charging ports, electric points and access to high-speed WiFi.  The high back booths allow you to work in privacy; meaning you can access your Zoom meetings with confidence.

8RAY Group is headed up by Managing Director, Jayson Jaurigue (JJ), who grew up in Henley and is passionate about giving back to the local community. He said, “Following the pandemic the team were working from home, but we needed a space to work creatively together and our Head of Events, Rodney Bennett, came up with the inspired idea to create a hybrid-working space for 8RAY Group and the local business community.”

JJ added, “We want to partner with businesses to put on different events and showcase local young musicians.  We will also be raising money for our charity partner, Riverside Counselling Service, who we have supported for a number of years.”

On the ground floor you’ll find the café, a small stage area with a floral wall and a neon ‘The Green Room’ light-up sign, working booths, a lounge area and a flexible meeting space with a large TV screen.  Downstairs there’s a fully equipped podcast room and an air-conditioned board room to seat 12 that are available for hire. The café’s menu is designed with “brain food” in mind, and serves coffee, healthy breakfasts, salads, wraps and ciabattas.

The co-working space will be open from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
