Phillip Schofield Removed as Patron of The Chiltern Centre
Former This Morning TV presenter, Phillip Schofield has been removed from his Patron position at The Chiltern Centre, the respite care centre for disabled young people after his admission of an affair with a younger colleague at ITV.
Phillip has been a Patron for the charity since 2010. He has helped raise a lot of money for the charity over the years and in particular in November 2019 the charity received the surprise news of a £20,000 donation after Phillip was interviewing Chris Evans on This Morning about his Carfest event when Chris surprised him and Holly Willoughby with the news that he had two £20,000 cheques left from the funds raised at Carfest which he would like to give to each of their nominated charities.
A spokesperson for The Chiltern Centre said, “Following Phillip Schofield’s recent admissions, the Board of Trustees of The Chiltern Centre no longer believe that it is appropriate for him to represent us as a Patron.”
