Lionesses Double Tournament Win

Both the u12 and u14 Girls teams at Henley Lionesses were crowned Champions at the Flackwell heath tournament on Sunday.

The u14s won the group stage, before defeating Gerrards Cross in the semi final to set up the Final vs the hosts Flackwell. A tense game ended in a draw with the Lionesses victorious on penalties!

The u12s route came via a 2nd place finish in the group to undefeated Wargrave. A 1-0 semi final win vs Chalfont Saints lead to a final vs our neighbours Wargrave. An incredible game finished 2-0 to the Lionesses with Yasmin Rigby scoring the double to secure another trophy for the girls!

Nick Hunt from Henley Lionesses said, “The groups continue to impress and are developing technically and tactically and progressing at such a rapid rate its amazing to witness!”
