Acorn Music Theatre Company is ready to set the scene for another of their original productions and with the title, ‘Tall Tales from the Wild Woods’, it seems fitting that this summer’s venue reflects the arboreal theme of magical wishing trees, lonesome pines, and dark forest fables.
Think of a place normally associated with winter and Christmas trees and there you’ll find the Acorns this summer. With kind permission from the Ingram family, The Tree Barn’s beautiful surroundings will be the backdrop for Acorn’s Tall Tales. It may be summer, but don’t expect anything too light and tranquil for Acorn always excels at weaving Grimm inspired dark threads through their performances, (much to the delight of their audiences).
The Acorn magic is completed, as always, with haunting, original music, written and composed by the cast, with additional songs by award winning musician, Megan Henwood. The overall production has been devised by artistic director, Gail Rosier, from creative workshops with the cast. Imaginative, mystical, dark and dynamic, these tales will delight both young and old.
The wonderful poster for this production has been designed by Acorn friend and illustrator, Hannah Firmin.
The performances will run from 12-14 July, and tickets are available by emailing email@example.com. There will be a licensed bar and a limited amount of food will be available.
