Not long now before the Regatta for the Disabled takes place on 2 September at Phyllis Court Club.
The event is especially aimed at people with a disability and to enable them to experience activities on the river and in the Paddock not normally accessible to them. It’s a fun day out for every-one’s enjoyment.
Bell boat teams will be competing during the day with running commentary leading up to the prize giving at the end of the day. There will be free boat trips on the Thames throughout the Event. Rivertime, a specially adapted boat to take wheelchairs will also be running free river trips throughout the day – so book early when you arrive!!
In the Paddock, lots of exciting things to see and do for all. Punch and Judy, Rowing Ergos, a Petting Zoo, Climbing Wall, Soft-archery, face painting, and so much more to enjoy. Music, food and drink is also available throughout the day. The Rural Pie Company is new to this event and will be serving their delicious food.
Come along to Regatta for the Disabled – take part in the land activities or simply relax, listen to the music, watch the bell boat racing or go on a free boat ride. There will be something for everyone at this popular event.
