Cafe Scientifique Talk – Carbon Capture and Storage

Wednesday 20 September
Henley Hockey Club

Since the industrial revolution mankind has shifted the carbon cycle.  The global average surface temperature is rising 20 times faster than at any time in the last 2 million years.

The international panel for climate change has stated that the changes are almost certainly anthropogenic, driven by the burning of fossil fuels.

Carbon capture is seen as one of the many solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The presentation will explore the various engineering challenges of carbon capture and storage.
