Great Taste Awards Presented to Pavilion Foods and Gelato Henley

Two Henley businesses have received Great Taste Awards, a national food and beverage award scheme run by The Guild of Fine Food with products being tested by over 500 experts from chefs, buyers, food writers and retailers.   Products are given a 1, 2 or 3 star accolade.

Pavilion Foods on Market Place received 4 x one-star awards for their cook at home lamb keema pie with saffron and yoghurt mash topping, mushroom, herb and puy lentil pie with sweet potato topping, signature pork, apple and cranberry stuffing topped with smoky bacon and their Cranberry Sauce with Mulled Spices.

Gelato Henley Limited made at Henley Self Storage won 2 stars for its Cremino a hazelnut and chocolate gelato ice cream… described as a crunchy, creamy chocolatey paradise which is available to buy at The Scoop Room on Bell Street.  Brigitte Dowsett from Gelato Henley said, “We are so happy and honoured. So now our Cremino joins our Honeycomb as a national favourite! All the flavours are winners we just couldn’t afford to put them all in the competition!”
