Crowds Enjoy a Few Pints in the Sunshine at Beer Festival

A big crowd enjoyed the sixth Beer Festival in the sunshine on Saturday at Henley Rugby Club.

Visitors had the choice of 20+ beers and ciders to sample from local breweries and those from the local area of Bury St Edmunds who were the team playing the Hawks that afternoon.  Both on and off the pitch the atmosphere was buzzy and the Hawks gave a great all-round performance beating Bury 37-21.

Irene Dallas from Dallas & Co solicitors said,”I’m a big supporter of Henley Rugby Club and was delighted to sponsor a beer again this year. When I was given the choice it was Rude Not To choose this one!”

Children enjoyed the bouncy slide provided by local company Sploj and Healthium clinic were offering massages.  There was musical entertainment throughout the day with the headliners, !Daft! rocking the clubhouse in the evening.

Chairman of HRFC Chris Nixon said, “It was fantastic to see so many of the local community come out and support our annual Beer Festival last Saturday. This really has become such an important event in our calendar, and a huge thanks to Mike Crook and his team for organising such a wonderful day for everyone to enjoy.”

The next community event the Club will be running is the Henley Half Marathon and Fun Runs on Sunday 8 October.  Full details can be found here https://henleyhalf.co.uk/
