The Chiltern Centre Celebrating 20 Years With Ball & Auction
The Chiltern Centre is celebrating 20 years of life changing support and care with a Platinum Ball on Saturday at Badgemore Park.
They are proud to be celebrating two decades of commitment to transforming the lives of countless young individuals facing unique challenges by providing vital support to young adults ages 16-30 with disabilities and complex medical needs.
Izzy Ansell, PR & Marketing Manger said, “Our 20 year journey is a testament to the power of community. We are so grateful for the incredible support and funds raised for us over the last 20 years in a variety of ways from local supporters which include highlights of a team climbing Kilimanjaro to children donating their birthday money to Vince Hill singing Edelweiss at a Christmas Carol service.”
The Centre is a sanctuary for young adults with disabilities and a second family to many. A safe, calm and happy space to find joy and friendship whilst learning and growing into confident young adults. This life changing service provides day care, over-night care, short break care and youth clubs. It gives young people with disabilities the opportunities they need to have fun, grow and develop surrounded by encouragement and kindness whilst providing their families with the break they need to recharge and reset. In 2023 some highlights have been working with the Kenton Theatre to enable the people we support to put on a ground-breaking performance of Bahdoon and their winning team at the Henley Regatta for the Disabled.
The success of The Chiltern Centre is a result of the hard work of an incredible team of carers along with a dedicated team of support staff, fundraisers, administrators and trustees. Their passion and unwavering commitment have allowed the charity to reach this remarkable milestone and they have touched the lives of many. In order to offer Chiltern Centre service they must raise £200,000 each year, just to open the doors.
Chair of Trustees, Ivor Lloyd added, “With the generosity and compassion of the local community, we have achieved milestones that have transformed the futures of many individuals. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the staff, volunteers, and donors who have been the backbone of our charity for the past two decades. Without your dedication, none of our achievements would have been possible.”
