The Oxfam shop on Market Place is closed due to a break-in on Friday evening after burglars tried to smash their way through the ceiling and a wall.
The charity shop is next door to David Rodger-Sharp jewellers, which could have been the target. No goods were taken and no stock was seriously damaged only covered in dust.
Nihal Alahendra, Oxfam Retail Area Manager said, “There was a break-in to our shop in Henley at the weekend, with lots of damage caused to the building. The shop is currently closed for repair work and we hope to re-open next week. This is one of our busiest times of the year for sales so it is important that we get the doors back open as quickly as possible.”
