New Proposed Design for Adventure Playground

Henley Town Council has revealed an ambitious new design for the Adventure Playground in Mill Meadows following extensive consultations with various designers.

The proposed design aims to create a dynamic and inclusive space for all ages and is fully accessible.  The new design includes a large adventure fort as the park’s centrepiece which has a slide, rope tunnel bridge, monkey bars, climbing wall, rope climber and tube slide.  Other new pieces of equipment include swings, a titan carousel, a spider web and a zip wire to replace the old one.  There are also other additions include a hammock, quiet corner, buggy parking and nature area.

After months of collaborative efforts, the council’s working group is confident that the unveiled design is the culmination of thoughtful consideration and input from both professionals and community consultation.

To ensure that the final design encompasses what the wider community would like to see, the Council is inviting residents to review the proposed plans and provide their feedback online. A dedicated platform has been set up where residents can view detailed designs, offer their thoughts, and suggest any additional features they would like to see.  You can have your say here:

The public consultation is open until Friday 5 January 2024, after which the council will review the input and make any necessary adjustments before moving forward with the construction phase.
