Café Scientifique Henley Presents Hot Fusion Versus Cold Reality

Wednesday 22 May
Henley Hockey Club
7.00-7.30pm start

Some of you will have attended one of the many talks on the possibility of sustainable fusion power. These normally consist of an outline of deuterium-tritium fusion followed by a ‘we are nearly there’ promotion of the method.

The main problem is not that of creating a sustainable plasma – but what happens next to convert the input energy into electricity for the national grid so making it very costly.
