Natasha is Runner Up with Triathlon World Championships

Henley triathlete, Natasha Harris-White is just home from taking 2nd place in the Challenger World Championships in the 25-29 age category at the Olympic Training Centre in Samorin in Slovakia.

2000 athletes from 56 countries qualified for the World Championships so Natasha was up against tough opposition but rose to the challenge. After the 1.9 km swim in the Danube canal, Natasha was in 3rd place. On the 90 km bike ride, she successfully cycled though to 2nd place and managed to maintain this position in the half marathon to claim 2nd place overall.  She also came in third place in the Women’s overall competition.

Natasha qualified to take part in the Challenger World Championships by winning the Challenge Wales race last year. After the race, Natasha said “I was delighted with my performance as this is only my second year of doing triathlons so to come 2nd in the World Championships against an international field of athletes on a scorching hot day was very satisfying. I hope to go one better next year!”
