Henley Organisations Encouraged to Apply for King’s Award for Enterprise

Applications for the new King’s Awards for Enterprise have just opened and the Deputy Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, David Woodgate is encouraging Henley businesses to apply.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.

The awards are valid for 5 years and organisations that receive an award have reported benefiting from worldwide recognition, increased commercial value, greater press coverage and a boost to staff morale.

Organisations applying must be a self-contained enterprise that markets its own products or services and is under its own management, have at least 2 full-time UK employees or part-time equivalents and demonstrate strong environmental, social and governance practices.  The organisation can be a business, non-profit or in the public sector.

David said, “We are aware there is a lot of innovation in the Henley area and as such we thought it may be of interest to let companies know more widely that they can easily apply.”
