Enchanting Acorn Music Theatre Summer Outdoor Performance

Acorn Music Theatre Company are back for their summer performance next week between 3-5 July with the production of East of the Sun, West of the Moon and Other Folk Tales, including many loved stories from across their 32 years of producing original work including Fitze’s Bird, the Complete Woman, and The Fox and the Chickens.

This year’s setting is a beautiful, woodland garden in Kiln Lane, Binfield, with kind permission of the Jennings family.  With original scripts, and direction from Acorn’s Artistic Director, Gail Rosier, the production is based on folk tales of the world. Live music has been devised by Acorn Alumni and jazz saxophonist, Katie Moberly with the company and the Acorn Bandoleros, including young Folk Singer of the Year, Megan Henwood, as well as violinist, Nina Foster.

Acorn is a youth theatre company who have produced, amongst other alumni, Tony Award Winner, Toby Marlow (Six, The Musical), novelist Max Porter (Grief is the Thing with Feathers), and Tom Rogers (We Will Rock You), as well as opera singers, puppeteers, and theatre designers! This production will be a nod to these and many other past Acorns who have forged a career in the arts.

All tickets must be bought before the performance from: acorntickets@gmail.com as there will not be tickets available on the evening.
