Have Your Say – Convert Old Telephone Box into Solar Powered Mobile Charger
Just heard on Radio 4 that people in London are converting old Phone boxes into solar powered mobile phone chargers. Why not move the Henley Town Council one – currently in need of painting and general care – at the St 
Andrews Road/Bellevue Road junction into the Market Place and convert it accordingly? And charge a standard fee for each use. This will then provide more of a public service than at present.

Good idea but possibly impractical. It takes some hours to charge a phone, how will people ensure their phone is safe? I would no wish to leave my phone charging and walk around town.
My son has seen a phone box in London converted into a charging station. Apparently there are lockers inside, so phones will be secure.
